Callie Brown, LPC, NCC

Callie Brown is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, licensed as a Professional Counselor in the State of New Jersey (NJ License # 37PC00999700) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) established by the National Board for Certified Counselors.

Callie is also the Athletic Performance Clinical Counselor at Monmouth University where she provides counseling and outreach services to the Athletic Department and its 22 Division I programs.

Callie specializes in working with individuals, athlete mental health and sport performance enhancement. She works with youth, high school and collegiate athletes along with other performance minded individuals. She uses an individualistic approach that combines dialectical behavior, psychodynamic and mindfulness-based interventions in order to meet each athlete where they are at. She is passionate about athlete mental wellbeing, sport performance and assisting athletes in coping with adversity on and off the playing field.

Callie received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, both at Georgian Court University (GCU). She worked at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) as an intern college counselor with students, athletes, and various teams. Callie has been an active member of the New Jersey Counseling Association (NJCA) holding roles including Member at Large (2020-2021) and currently Continuing Education ACEP Coordinator. 

 

Callie played DIII and DII lacrosse, transferring after her first year to GCU. Post-undergrad she was the head coach of a local high school lacrosse team for two years, then held the position of Graduate Assistant Women’s Lacrosse Coach at GCU while getting her master’s. Additionally, she has coached club lacrosse for the past seven years.
